THE DIGEST
North Heights Market in the Park 🌳

Looking for a market that has a little bit of everything—and a whole lot of local charm? The North Heights Market in the Park is back for its 2025 season, taking over The Michael & Jeri Lynn Joseph Family Park in Joplin’s North Heights neighborhood every second Saturday from 10 AM to 4 PM, April through September.
Whether you're treasure hunting or just there for the vibes (and the food trucks), this open-air market is your go-to spot for local flavor and flair. Your next favorite find might just be hiding behind a handmade candle and a vintage casserole dish.
🛍️ What you’ll find:
🖼️ Art & Handmade Goods – Resin figures, mixed media paintings, photography, crocheted plushies, and original artwork
🪑 Home Decor & Antiques – Small furniture, vintage collectibles, reclaimed décor, and farmhouse accents
🌱 Plants & Produce – Fresh veggies, potted plants, and homemade goods
🍪 Tasty Treats – Cookies, charcuterie boards, flavored nuts, and soy candles that smell good enough to eat (but don’t!)
🧶 Crafts Galore – Embroidered linens, wood prints, pet ID tags, custom tumblers, 3D printed toys, and even Gothic clothing
🎨 Local Authors & Creators – Children’s books, boutique clothing, jewelry, and embroidered ornaments
📍 Where: 610 W. F Street, Joplin, MO (former Columbia Elementary School site)
🗓️ 2025 Dates:
April 12 • May 10 • June 14 • July 12 • August 9 • September 13

Neosho’s Rain-Delayed Citywide Garage Sale 🛍️
Mother Nature may have rained on Neosho’s city-wide garage sale last weekend, but the hunt for bargains is back on this Friday and Saturday, April 11–12! So if you missed your chance to snag deals last weekend, consider this your raincheck—literally.
The Neosho Chamber of Commerce announced that many of the vendors who canceled due to weather are returning for a second round—and with sunny skies and highs in the 60s and 70s, it’s shaping up to be perfect pickin’ conditions.
📌 A few reminders for shoppers and sellers:
🗺️ Want to be on the map? You can still sign up to list your sale.
🚌 School is in session Friday – watch for buses and kiddos.
🚗 Drive carefully – streets remain two-way, so share the road and park responsibly.

Pittsburg Spring ArtWalk 🎨
Downtown Pittsburg is getting a bold splash of color this Saturday as the Pittsburg Arts Council hosts its annual Spring ArtWalk, a free, family-friendly celebration of all things creative. From 3 to 9 p.m. on April 12, artists, musicians, dancers, and makers will take over the streets for an afternoon and evening packed with imagination, inspiration, and community spirit.
🎭 Here's what to expect:
🎨 Live Art Demos – Watch artists bring their work to life right before your eyes
🎶 Music & Dance Performances – Catch live acts on two stages: The Main Stage (aka Waterfall Music Hall at Europe Park) and the 6th Street Performance Stage
🧁 Food Trucks – Fuel up with street tacos, mac and cheese, and snow cones
✍️ Live Readings at TJ Lelands – Poetry and fiction from 5–8 p.m., open mic at 7:30 p.m.
👧 Kidz Zone (400 Block) – Young artists can display and even sell their own creations
ArtWalk is one of the best things we do in Pittsburg. It’s all about bringing people together to celebrate local talent, creativity, and community.
This isn’t just an event—it’s a full-on creative block party. Whether you're into sculpture or snow cones, poetry or painting, there's something to spark everyone's imagination. 🖌️✨
