Joplin Empire Market’s 7th Birthday Bash! + Goats in the Garden 🐐

Joplin Empire Market is turning seven, and they’re throwing a birthday party unlike any other—goats. In the garden. With party hats. On Saturday, May 11, the Market is combining its annual birthday bash with the beloved Goats in the Garden event for a one-of-a-kind celebration full of fun, food, and farmyard charm, complete with live music and new merch.

Visitors can sign the Market’s giant birthday card, grab a slice of cake, and check out the newly unveiled Market poster designed by Joplin High School students. As you browse the usual lineup of top-tier local vendors, you’ll also get the chance to meet friendly goats in the Community Garden, explore available garden beds, and even participate in some hands-on crafts. Whether you’re there for the cake or the goats—or both—this is the kind of quirky community celebration Joplin does best.
