The Fur-ocious Battle Continues: Mutt Madness Round 2 🐶 

There’s something we mutt tell you about. Starting this morning (aka now), Mutt Madness Round 2 is officially underway. We appreciate everyone entering and voting. And, a round of a-paws to the pups moving on! Looking ahead, Round 3 kicks off Wednesday.

It seemed some folks experienced some confusion when voting, so here’s what you need to know:

• If you’re on a computer, you should see the matchups just fine

• For mobile users, when you’re shown the first picture, scroll down and you should see that dog’s competitor and the option to vote on each dog

Jasper County Proposes Creating Children’s Services Fund 💵 

Jasper County voters will decide on April 8th whether to approve a quarter-cent sales tax to create a Children's Services Fund. If passed, the fund could generate around $5 million a year to support local kids through mental health services, crisis intervention, substance abuse treatment, and more.

Supporters say it’s a big win for children and families—especially since Jasper County is one of the few in Missouri without this type of fund. The cost? Just 25 cents on every $100 you spend—cheaper than a gumball (if you can even find one these days).

MSSU Football Alumni Golf Tournament 🦁 

Get your clubs ready—Missouri Southern’s Football Alumni Golf Tournament is teeing off on Saturday, April 12 at Eagle Creek Golf Course! Check-in starts at 7:00 AM, with a shotgun start at 7:30 AM, and the entry fee is $600 per team. Register your team here!

Proceeds support the MSSU football program, so you're not just chasing birdies—you’re backing the Lions. Lunch and cart fees are included, and yes, there will be prizes (bragging rights included).
