New “Route 66 Tri-State Corridor Mural 🖼️ 

Visit Joplin revealed a new mural, “Route 66 Tri-State Corridor”, last Friday at the Route 66 Mural Park in downtown Joplin. The mural shows 25 landmarks along the Mother Road in Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. Can you spot all 25?

The mural was designed by local Carthage, MO artist Andy Thomas.

Neosho Dogwood Run 5K 🏃

Get ready to lace up and soak in the springtime beauty of Neosho on April 19th! The beloved Dogwood Run 5K returns for its 43rd year at Big Spring Park—and it’s still the most affordable family-friendly walk/run in the Four-State Area.

Here’s what you need to know:

• 🏃‍♀️ 5K In-Person Run – April 19 | $15 | 9:00 AM

• 💻 5K Virtual Option – $20 | Participate anywhere

• 👕 T-Shirt Option – Free with registration (optional)

• 🌳 Free Dogwood Sapling – For the first 100 registrants

Age group awards range from “Under 10” to “Over 70,” plus the Delynn Kuhn Lifetime Achievement Award for the fastest seasoned runner. Proceeds support local projects promoting active lifestyles in Neosho—past efforts helped upgrade the skate park, install doggie bag poles, and plant new dogwood trees.
