🏈 Joplin Crusaders Defeat St Joe Bucks

The Joplin Crusaders defense stole the show last Friday night, powering the team to a gritty 22–13 win over the St. Joe Bucks. With standout performances from Cortez “Shaq” Minnis, Jaymie Tago, Eric Thornburg, TJ Austin, and Drew VanGilder, the defensive front controlled the tempo. Cornerback TaJuan Curry, playing through a hand injury, delivered a dominant game with five tackles for loss—earning him the nickname “one-handed bandit.”

The offense found its spark in the fourth quarter when Daquan Johnson stepped in at quarterback, helping the Crusaders seal the win and remain undefeated. With the victory, Joplin improves to 4–0 overall, 3–0 in league play, and holds the top spot in this week’s Central Section Power Rankings.
