Good Morning, Joplin. Fun fact: LEGO has a set depicting a kid getting an MRI that they don’t sell but rather donate to hospitals. 96% of the hospitals report reduced anxiety when kids get to play with it before their MRI. Can they make an adult one, too?
In today’s JOMO Jive:
KOAM Expands Weather Team
Joplin City Council Candidate Filing Opens
Christmas on the Ridge
Let’s get to it.
— Matt Thompson
P.S. If you find something useful in today’s Jive, please share it with someone who plays with LEGOs as an adult.

🎭 Joplin Little Theatre Presents: The Crucible
November 13–15 at 7:30 PM | November 16 at 2:30 PM | North Middle School Auditorium
Joplin Little Theatre brings Arthur Miller’s The Crucible to life — a powerful retelling of the Salem witch trials where fear, accusation, and hysteria consume a community. When Abigail Williams and a group of girls falsely accuse others of witchcraft, the town spirals into chaos, exposing how paranoia can destroy truth and justice.
Performed at North Middle School, this haunting classic explores how distrust can divide and how courage can reclaim integrity.
