Is it worth it to bundle your insurance policies? Nathan says, “Bundling home and auto insurance with American Family can save an average of 20-30% on both policies.” Not only can moving all your insurance coverages under one roof save you money on your premiums, it also simplifies the insurance process.
What’s even greater is that it’s no problem if your homeowners insurance is paid through escrow. American Family can still switch everything over for you!

THE DIGEST
Chiefs vs Bills | AFC Championship
Would this email newsletter be based in the Midwest if the first story wasn’t about the Kansas City Chiefs? If you’re cheering for anybody other than KC this weekend, you should probably go find a place to kick rocks… Your “hometown” Chiefs play the Buffalo Bills on Sunday at 5:30 PM CST. Start popping your popcorn, because it’s gonna be a good one!

The Main Event Open on Mondays
Tiffany, co-owner of the Main Event in Joplin has announced the venue will now be open to the public on Monday nights, starting January 27th. She says it’s a very chill meet up spot with good ambience. They’ve been open for over a year for events only, but now they want to add to the joy by being open to the public as another spot to hang out downtown. Check out their Facebook page to stay up to date on what they’re up to! The Main Event will be open on Mondays until 11:00 PM.

Freeman Health System Hosts Job Fair
Are you or someone you know in the health field and looking for a new change of pace? Freeman seeks to gain 60+ positions for their new hospital in Fort Scott. The job fair takes place Tuesday, February 11th at the location of the future hospital (401 Woodland Hills Blvd, Ft. Scott, KS 66701) from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Check out this link for a list of positions they’re looking to fill!
Carl Junction Begins Construction of New Archery & ROTC Building
CJ Schools extracurriculars just keep getting better! Voters approved the project last Spring and now it’s go time! Crews have already begun pouring the cement slab that will form the basis for the new Bulldog Archery and ROTC building. CJR1 Assistant Superintendent David Pyle says they anticipate having it completed in the Summer so they can begin using the new building next Fall.
Joplin Trails Coalition to Discuss Plans for Trail Connections
Have you ever wanted to go on a run or a bike ride and thought, “Gosh, should I go to Frisco or Ruby Jack?” Well you might not have to make that tough decision anymore! Next Tuesday, January 28th, the Joplin Trails Coalition invites the public to their meeting to discuss their plans to start connecting the Frisco and Ruby Jack Trails. By connecting the two, trail users would have almost twenty miles of continuous trails to enjoy. The meeting takes places at Joplin Public Library’s West Conference Room at 6:30 PM.

The Bluey Meet & Greet
Be honest with yourself. Is letting your kids watch Bluey just an excuse for YOU to watch Bluey? Whatever the case, prepare yourself (and your kids, if you must) for the Bluey Meet & Greet on February 8th at the Joplin Avenue Coffee Company. This is a paid event that requires signing up for a time, so grab your tickets before they’re gone!
