RMHC’s St. Patrick’s 5K 🍀🏃 

Joplin residents, get ready to don your green attire and lace up your running shoes for a festive cause! The RMHC's St. Patrick's Day 5K is tomorrow at 9:00 AM. The event kicks off at Spiva Park, located at 303 S. Main St., Joplin, MO 64801.

This FREE community event invites participants of all ages and fitness levels to run, jog, or walk in support of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States. While there is no registration fee, attendees are encouraged to make a donation; for instance, a $10 contribution sponsors a family for a one-night stay at the Ronald McDonald House, providing comfort and resources during challenging times.

Hear ye, hear ye! If you’ve ever wanted to time-travel to the days of knights, jesters, and fair maidens, the Silver Sage Renaissance Festival is making its grand return to Joplin this Memorial Day Weekend on May 24th - 26th. Hosted at Landreth Park, this three-day festival will transform the area into a medieval village, complete with live performances, artisan vendors, and of course, plenty of turkey legs.

What’s in store for festivalgoers?

• ⚔️ Live armored combat—because what’s a Renaissance fair without a good old-fashioned sword fight?

• 🎭 Jesters, musicians, and street performers to keep you entertained between mead breaks.

St. Patty’s Weekend Menu at Red Onion 🧅 

Red Onion is basically a Joplin staple. Historically, Red Onion has been known to have American cuisine, but this weekend they’re serving up some traditional St. Patty’s dishes! Try the ROC Reuben, Bangers & Mash, or Corned Beef & Cabbage. And definitely save room for the Shamrock Cake! Make sure you get there this weekend, though, because this menu is only available until Monday the 17th!

Men’s and Co-Ed adult softball leagues are fast-approaching! The spring season for the men’s league begins 3/24, while the co-ed league starts 3/26. The last day to register your team is TODAY, so quit messing around and sign up here!
