⚾️ Joplin Outlaws Season Begins

Get your peanuts and Cracker Jacks—Joplin Outlaws baseball is back! The boys of summer are ready to take the field for another electric season, and it all starts Wednesday, May 22 at Joe Becker Stadium as the Outlaws host the Fort Smith Marshals for opening night.

If you’ve never caught a game, here’s the pitch:
The Joplin Outlaws are part of the Mid-America League, a summer collegiate baseball league made up of elite college athletes from across the country. Players come to Joplin to sharpen their skills, gain exposure, and play in front of passionate hometown crowds. Founded to bring competitive, high-quality baseball to our city, the Outlaws give local fans a chance to cheer for future stars and experience classic American ballpark fun without ever leaving town.

🎟️ Ticket prices are fan-friendly:

  • General Admission – $5

  • Reserved – $8

  • Box Seating – $10

Games start at 7:05 PM Monday through Saturday, and 6:05 PM on Sundays—perfect for a family night, a date, or catching a ballgame with friends under the lights.

🟥⬜️🟦 The Nation of Patriots 15th Annual Patriot Tour

The Nation of Patriots™ is bringing its 15th Annual Patriot Tour™ to Joplin for a powerful two-day event honoring America’s veterans. Over 115 days, one American flag is escorted through all 50 states—uniting riders, patriots, and supporters nationwide. This year’s Joplin stop takes place Wednesday, May 21st at VFW Post 534 (110 E Veterans Way).

🏍️ Joplin Schedule:

  • May 21 @ 11:30 AM – Riders meet at Love’s Truck Stop (I-44 & Hwy 43) to greet the Arkansas riders and escort the flag into Joplin.

  • After arrivalFlag ceremony at VFW Post 534 with lunch, silent auction, and raffle.

  • May 22 @ 7:00 AM – Coffee & donuts at VFW.

  • 7:45 AM – Kickstands up! Riders escort the flag to its next stop in Derby, Kansas (via Fredonia).

This year’s Flag Bearer is Jeff Sampson, a Vietnam veteran, double lung transplant survivor, and dedicated NoP volunteer.

All are welcome to attend and support the cause. Donations go 100% toward helping disabled veterans and their families. Learn more or contribute below:
